2. Choose Pop star – Once you have chosen the persona you want to pursue, narrow the persona down to one specific pop star.
3. Choose Song – Choose a song based on what you can do more with (e.g. slow songs are nice, however, not much can be done performance wise with a slow song).
4. Memorize Lyrics - Once you have chosen the song, memorize the song lyrics.
4.5 Watch different performances of the song – Watch performances of the pop star performing that specific song and take note of recurring themes/body language etc.
4.75 Acquire specific movements/forms of body language that resemble the pop star – After watching various performances of your song, apply certain character traits/body language to your portrayal of that singer.
5. Coordinate Costume - Coordinate the costume based off of the artists personal style and what that artist is seen wearing when singing that specific song.
6. Download Song – Download the song so that you can bring it into class when it is time to perform.
7. Rehearse with costume, song and “blocking” – Get a feel for what you a performing in front of your class.
